In the charnal grounds, many offerings are made: flesh, bone, sinew, drink, smoke, ash, and blood. She delights in our struggles, knowing that the strong of mind, body, and spirit will prevail.
Outside of the temple, one finds carvings of Durga. She guards, along with two skeletal, ithyphallic gatekeepers, the inner sanctum and the grounds upon which the yoginis and their worshippers dance.
Have you seen my mother? She is black as a new moon night and Her eyes sparkle with ancient wisdom. She is smeared with ash but Her fragrance is sweet. I left Her here not long ago. Have you seen Her?
