SHARANYA offered the 8th Annual Yoni Puja Festival on June 22, 2014 at the Cultural Integration Fellowship in San Francisco. We gathered to honor women, the Feminine and goddesses as they exist in the spaces of being and planet. Our puja was divine!

SHARANYA offered the 8th Annual Yoni Puja Festival on June 22, 2014 at the Cultural Integration Fellowship in San Francisco. We gathered to honor women, the Feminine and goddesses as they exist in the spaces of being and planet. Our puja was divine!

Shiva’s Blessing
Shiva joins our Yoni Puja to dance with Maa in a celebration of creation. We sing, “Shiva, Shiva, Shiva Shambo!” as the harmonium vibrates the melody throughout the temple and our hearts are lifted in joy. Making an offering of flowers, here an initiate asks for blessings and honors the Lord of Transformation.

Aarati to Maa
Once She has been invoked into our yoni murti, Maa is present and treated as a most honored guest. She is bathed, dressed, offered food and made comfortable so that darshan may begin. Aarati culminates in a celebration of fiery lights representing Her divine gaze as it bestows blessings.

Receiving Yoni Tattva
The sacred elixir of Tantric vamacara rites, Yoni Tattva is offered in our puja in a revised form that all can imbibe. The kiss of Maa is taken three times after a devotee surrenders to the Divine before Her.

Prayers at the Well
At each Yoni Puja, our worship deepens through meditation and reflection on the sankalpa or sacred intention we have each made. We come to the well to purify our intentions, cleanse our spirit and then proceed to the encounter with Maa for which we have been waiting all year. Once completed, we take our blessed…
